La imagen pesa. No solo por su memoria, por el tiempo sedimentado en su superficie. En esta exposición, 54Gallery se convierte en un espacio donde la memoria, la materia, el color y el peso, dialogan en un entretejido de gestos artísticos. Atticus Adams, Arlette Bellio y Luisa Bordas despliegan sus investigaciones plásticas desde la resistencia de la materia hasta la levedad del color, desde el peso dela memoria hasta la vibración del gesto. Atticus, nos situamos ante un límite permeable entre lo íntimo y lo colectivo. La estructura de sus piezas, hecha de la fragilidad y la resistencia del material, es una traducción de la memoria en forma: cada torsión, cada pliegue, es un gesto de inscripción, una huella de su propio pasado transformada en presencia tangible. Desde el mosquito de su infancia hasta la incorporación de pigmentos mayas en su obra actual. En el caso de Arlette Bellio, la pintura es una práctica meditativa donde el color actúa como umbral hacia lo desconocido. La obra de Bellio no representa, sino que abre, no ilustra, sino que nos lleva hacia una experiencia de lo inefable. Sus lienzos vibran con la potencia de lo silencioso, con la densidad del instante detenido. Aquí, el acrílico sobre tela no es solo un medio, sino un campo de exploración. El color en su obra no es pasivo: es una entidad viva, un respiro en la velocidad del mundo. Por otro lado, Luisa Bordas nos introduce en una arqueología de la materia donde la transformación de la piedra en lámina de oro, papel metálico y vacío es una exploración de la permanencia y la ausencia. En su evolución, la forma de la piedra deja de ser un objeto y se convierte en una forma de pensamiento, en una inscripción material que se diluye en nuevos soportes. Su obra no es un gesto artístico, es un acto de revelación. Los tres artistas, en sus diversos procesos, abren umbrales que nos invitan a reconsiderar el peso de la memoria, la plasticidad del color y la resistencia de la materia. En Peso de la imagen, lo sólido y lo fluido, lo táctil y lo intangible, se entrelazan para recordarnos que el arte no es un objeto inerte, sino un campo de posibilidades en constante transformación., sino por su memoria.

The image is heavy. Not only because of its memory, because of the time sedimented on its surface. In this exhibition, 54Gallery becomes a space where memory, matter, color and weight dialogue in an interweaving of artistic gestures. Atticus Adams, Arlette Bellio and Luisa Bordas deploy their plastic investigations from the resistance of matter to the lightness of color, from the weight of memory to the vibration of gesture. Atticus, we are faced with a permeable boundary between the intimate and the collective. The structure of his pieces, made of the fragility and resistance of the material, is a translation of memory into form: each twist, each fold, is a gesture of inscription, a trace of his own past transformed into a tangible presence. From the mosquito of his childhood to the incorporation of Mayan pigments in his current work. In the case of Arlette Bellio, painting is a meditative practice where color acts as a threshold to the unknown. Bellio's work does not represent, but rather opens, does not illustrate, but rather takes us towards an experience of the ineffable. His canvases vibrate with the power of the silent, with the density of the frozen moment. Here, acrylic on canvas is not just a medium, but a field of exploration. Color in his work is not passive: it is a living entity, a respite from the speed of the world. On the other hand, Luisa Bordas introduces us to an archeology of matter where the transformation of stone into gold foil, metallic paper and emptiness is an exploration of permanence and absence. In its evolution, the shape of the stone stops being an object and becomes a form of thought, a material inscription that is diluted in new supports. His work is not an artistic gesture, it is an act of revelation. The three artists, in their diverse processes, open thresholds that invite us to reconsider the weight of memory, the plasticity of color and the resistance of matter. In Weight of the Image, the solid and the fluid, the tactile and the intangible, intertwine to remind us that art is not an inert object, but a field of possibilities in constant transformation, but through its memory.
